FAQ
-
Is Unify Montrose affiliated with any political party?
No. Our board and members represent a broad spectrum of political views, and we intentionally maintain political diversity so that our conversations reflect the whole community, not just one side. While some discussions may touch on issues with political dimensions, our process is designed to foster respectful listening and understanding, not debate or persuasion.

What is a CCC Meeting?
A Catalyst & Connectors Club meeting (CCC) is a structured, facilitated dialogue held at a local coffee shop where community members from different perspectives come together to listen, learn, and share ideas in a safe environment.
-
How is The Deliberation different from a CCC Meeting?
A Deliberation is a longer, more in-depth process involving a committed group of residents who work together over weeks or months to study an issue and create actionable recommendations for the community. If you wish to be part of a Deliberation, you need to apply.
-
Who can join a CCC Meeting?
Anyone in the Montrose area who’s willing to come with curiosity, respect, and an open mind is welcome. We encourage RSVPs so we can prepare space, food and materials, but walk-ins are welcome.
-
How are topics chosen for discussion?
Topics come from community priorities and issues identified as needing collaborative solutions. For example, our childcare deliberation emerged from widespread concern about local childcare access.
-
What if I’m nervous about speaking up?
You can participate at your own pace. Listening is just as valuable as speaking, and you’re welcome to simply observe until you feel comfortable sharing.
-
Has Unify Montrose made any real impact?
Yes. Our childcare deliberation brought together residents across the political spectrum to develop a 96-page report of actionable recommendations, encouraged expansion of childcare spots, and new initiatives. We’ve helped make our parking lots Googleable. And now we’re improving and creating spaces for young teens to “Just Be”!
